WWP-T107: Learn to Make Your Own, Unique Cutting Board

This is a 3-session woodworking workshop for beginner woodworkers who want to create a cutting board. This is NOT a red tool sign-off class. The instructor is red tooled trained and will demonstrate all the machines used in this workshop. Participants who are red tooled wood advanced trained are free to use the machines. 

The participants will learn how to choose and purchase wood for the project at Wood Craft in Leesburg. They will learn how to mill and prep the wood for gluing in Makersmiths Purcellville woodshop. They will learn to sand and finish their cutting board.

Pre-reqs: Makersmiths member, age 18+. Come with an open mind and a desire to create a cutting board based on your own, unique design.

Session Schedule

Session 1: Wood Craft located at 1067 Edwards Ferry Rd, NE Leesburg, VA 20176 at 6-7 PM (Thursday July 16). (Optional if you want the instructor to purchase the wood, but you will need to reimburse him)

Session 2: Makersmiths-Purcellville location at 6 PM-9 PM (Friday July 17)

Session 3: Makersmiths-Purcellville location at 3 PM-6 PM (Saturday July 18)

No-shows will not receive a refund or makeup class.  If you cannot attend the class and it is at least 3 days before the event, please log in to www.makersmiths.org to cancel your registration and receive a refund, unless otherwise specified in the event description.  If you cannot attend the class and it is less than 3 days before the event, please contact the instructor; you may be able to request a refund.
