WWP-R101: Woodworking Basics with Make and Take - Red Tool Purcellville

Class Date Change- Class will be Held Feb 21 from 2PM-5PM

This workshop is for beginning woodworkers wanting to learn how to use Makersmiths Purcellville woodworking tools safely. No prior woodworking experience necessary. If you are an experienced woodworker and only need red tool training to safely use the tools at the Purcellville woodshop, the one-session red tool class without a make and take would be the appropriate red tool class for you.

Participants in this make and learn red tool basic woodworking workshop will be signed off on these tools (Table Saw, Miter Saw, Band Saw, Drill Press, 12” Disk Sander, Router Table, 16” Drum Sander, Downdraft Sanding Table, Dust Collector) and be approved for taking the MSP wood shop advanced class that covers other tools in the woodshop.

Participants in this session will also create a small serving tray/cutting board with a handle from one piece of wood so there won't be a glue-up process. Participants will have some finishing to do at home in order to use the board. All materials will be provided, and the registration fee for this class includes the cost of materials.

Safety gear is available in the shop, but it is recommended that you bring your own eye and ear protection.
