This is an advanced level class for those who have already completed red tool training for the UV printer.

In this class you will learn more about creating jigs and setting up templates to print your items. We will go over the different options for creating a jig using different materials and for setting up the size of the print area. And we’ll discuss some tips and tricks for using the machine. This is a great class if you need a refresher on how to use the machine or have felt overwhelmed by it.

Skills you will learn in this class:

  • Short review on how to set up the work area
  • How to use the contact paper jig method
  • How to use the MDF board printing method
  • How to cut frame pieces to assist in repeated jig prints
  • Additional Q&A

While this class will not provide a make and take item, it should provide a stepping stone to help you get the most out of this amazing machine.

Various jig supplies and tools will be demonstrated. If you would like to bring in an item you want to print in the future, we can discuss how to create a jig for that item.

Prerequisites: UV Printing red tool class. This is an advanced level class and basic knowledge of the machine is required. This is a good review class if it’s been a while or you don’t feel confident with the printer yet.

This class will meet in the Main Room at MS-L.
