This course explores basic CAD production workflow used to create a drawing for use with the Laser Cutter. During the class you will have the opportunity to learn and practice 2D sketches, dimensions and 3D tools to model up parts to use to generate vectors for the Laser Cutter.
The course is organized into the following.
Step 1 - Framing
Step 2 - Makersmiths Logo
Step 3 - Create Drawing
Step 4 - Vector Preparation (Illustrator or Inkscape)
Step 5 - Laser Cutter
Step 6 - Assemble Parts
Requirements
PRIOR to the class you must sign up for a free Onshape user account (make sure it is the free account) at https://www.onshape.com/en/products/free
You need to bring a laptop, mouse that has scroll wheel and Chrome browser preferred.
Adobe Illustrator or Inkscape should be installed and have a basic computer proficiency.
After you have your free Onshape account, the course content will be shared.
We will meet in the lower building classroom at the Purcellville location.
