This course explores basic CAD production workflow used to create 3D printable models.  During the class you will have the opportunity to learn and practice 2D sketches, dimensions and 3D tools to model up to 4 basic 3D parts ready for 3D printing.  

The course is organized into the following.

- Part_01: Single sketch, single extrusion

- Part_02: Single sketch multiple extrusions

- Part_03: Multiple sketches multiple extrusions

- Part_04: Real world object to 3D CAD model

Each section in the course includes:

  • Overview
  • Modeling
  • Drawing

Requirements

PRIOR to the class you must sign up for a free Onshape user account (make sure it is the free account) at https://www.onshape.com/en/products/free

You need to bring a laptop, mouse that has scroll wheel and Chrome browser preferred and a Basic computer proficiency.

After you have your free Onshape account the course content will be shared. 

We will meet in the upper building's green room in Purcellville.
