MS-L Sew a Catch All Zipper Box Bag

Sew a fun, simple catch all zipper bag in one sewing session, while learning how to use a sewing machine and basic sewing techniques.

Skills you will learn include:

• Getting started with the Janome HD 3000
• Learn the parts of the sewing machine
• Learn how to wind a bobbin
• Learn how to thread the sewing machine
• Planning out the details of your project
• Cutting fabric with rotary cutter
• Pinning or clamping your fabric together and sew using a straight stitch.
• Inserting a zipper using foot A (all purpose foot) or foot E (zipper foot)
• Overcasting the raw edges of your fabric using foot C (overedge foot) 
• Maneuvering fabric pieces to insert hardware on your bag

All sewing tools, materials, and products to make the bag will be provided.  Students should bring a willingness to learn and, if desired, something to take notes on.

No previous skills requited. This is a beginner sewing class.

This class will meet in the main room at the Leesburg location.
