This workshop teaches you "how to use" the Cricut CNC to create a Halloween-themed Putz house. What are putz houses? Beginning in the early 19th century, putz villages became elaborate scenes atop tables and fireplace mantels and reflected a holiday or season of the year.
In this workshop, we will use a free Davenport house template from Paper Glitter Glue website to cut out the pieces to make a spooky house just in time for Halloween.
This workshop is designed to help the novice or intermediate user of Cricut learn how to import a project template into Cricut Design Space software that is free to load into your laptop computer. We will learn to convert cut lines into score lines, group and ungroup objects, use the cut and scoring tools and so much more.
What do you need to bring? Bring a laptop with Cricut Design Space software already loaded. It runs on WIN or Mac computers. Then visit https://paperglitterglue.com/ and click on the library link, scroll to the bottom of the page, and subscribe (it is free) so you will get the password in a newsletter in order to obtain the Davenport project files. Don't worry- your instructor will show you how to download the files you will use in Cricut Design Space.
We will supply the card board needed to cut your house pieces that you will assemble and decorate at home. It will make a fun family project!
