Learn the basics of hand building with clay.
We will make different projects each week utilizing a variety of techniques, including slab building, coil building, textures and more. Upon the completion of the class students will have several finished pieces to take home.
We will tackle a functional bowl, tea light holder, mug and more. (Projects may vary from those shown in the photo above.)
Cost of class includes clay, glazes, firing and supplies. Most items will be glazed by instructors.
Classes will meet in the Purcellville upper building classroom.
Class size is limited to 10 students. A minimum of 5 students is needed to run the class.
Important considerations:
- No food or drink in the ceramics studio.
- Since we are working with mud, dress appropriately (wear a smock or grubby clothes).
- No make-ups or refunds.
