Are you ready to take your making to the next level? Computer Numerical Control (CnC) is one of the early forms of automated manufacturing and it allows creation of items ranging from customized wall hangings through furniture. This is a two-part course, where the first one (March 17th) covered how to create a graphic for eventual finish using “Big Red”, the CnC machine at Leesburg. This particular session is meant for beginner CnC users, but general knowledge of how tools work will be a help. If you’re already familiar with vector graphics and g-code, you only have to sign up for the second class (this one) that focuses on setting up and operating Big Red. Students will need to schedule an in-person time with the instructor on another day to meet at our Makersmiths-Leesburg location to demonstrate the set-up skill before operating the "Big Red" CnC machine on their own.
