MS-Online- Using Inkscape to Make A Laser Cut Map Coaster

Coasters with a map of the house someone grew up in, they fell in love in, had kids in, vacationed in or is just special to them make great gifts!  And they are easy to draw, cut and finish in a weekend. 

This online class will teach you how to complete a drawing in Inkscape that you can cut using the laser cutter in Leesburg.  The class will cover creating the image, setting up the colors and lines for the laser cutter, and saving the file so that it can be opened quickly in Corel Draw and cut out.  Basic familiarity with vector drawing is required for this class. The instructor will send you login information prior to the date of class, so fill out the registration fully with contact information.

The online class will go through the process of drawing and saving the file step-by-step in detail but it will be very helpful if you have some background in Inkscape or vector drawing.  This class will not cover use of the laser, but if you have taken the laser cutting class, you will find it very easy to go from this class to a completed project.
