Makerspace Green Tools Orientation Meeting

After taking "Green" class, members, & associates will be able to use bench-top hand tools.

• Brief History of Makersmiths and why the community exists 
• Understand the membership and operating structure at Makersmiths 
• How the organization operates 
• How our membership works and our expectations 
• Review general safety procedures for all shop areas at Makersmiths
• Use safety glasses, tie back hair, roll up sleeves, wear closed-toe shoes 
• Locate fire extinguishers 
• Understand emergency machine stops 
• Other specific safety notes 
• Sign liability waiver before using facility

We'll end with a tour of the space and introduction to hand tools.
